It is with deep sadness that we announce that Fred passed peacefully away at his home in Toronto at the age of 70 following a short but valiant battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his mother Mildred Miller (Tizzard); father James Miller; sister Gail and brother David, in-laws Adolphus and Maud Wicks, Fred and Marie Wicks, Stan and Florence Wicks. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of memories his loving wife Shirley Miller (Wicks); sons Bruce (Kim Greeley) and Karl (Emily); daughter Bonny Murray (Brian); brothers and sisters Jim (Frances), Sandra Baggs (George deceased), Wayne (Marg), Pat Jones (Reg deceased), Derek (Linda), Joanne Stone (Lorne) and Robert (Daphne); sisters-in-law Jo Hayden (Harry) and Mabel Walsh; grandchildren Brandon, Devon, Kirstin, Brittany, Frederick, Eve, Johnny and Penny. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks go to the Toronto Central CCAC Palliative Care Home Team who provided outstanding comfort and support to the family. No visitation. Reception and celebration of life to take place at Hickey's Funeral Home, Kelligrews, Conception Bay South on Saturday December 5 at 2p.m. Donations may be made in Fred's memory to a charity of your choice.
