It is with heavy hearts and sadness, the family of Rose regrets to announce her passing on Nov. 20, 2015.
Born in Sydney, Rose was the daughter of the late William and Stella (Mischiek) Pitchuck.
Christmas was one of Rose's favourite times of the year, she would decorate her house to where you would think you were in Santa's Village. She also loved doing her crafts, knitting, baking.
Rose is survived by her husband, Gerald Burke; children, Donna (Timothy) Lucas, Boston; Barb (Burke) Antonello, Calgary; Jerry Burke, Fort McMurray; Robert (Kimberly) Burke, Calgary; grandchildren, Cindylee, Cory, Coady, Caitlin, Carlee, Jerry, Kelsey, Machaus, Alexa, Calgary and Halifax; sisters, Delores Muise, Sydney, Catherine Wrathall, Dartmouth, Patricia (Duncan) Layes, Howie Centre; brothers, Sonny (Carrie) Pitchuck, Westmount, Joe (Marg) Pitchuck, Sydney, Raymond (Ann) Pitchuck, Sydney, Mike (Greta) Pitchuck, Sydney, Paul (Sandra) Pitchuck, Reserve Mines, Stephen Pitchuck, Sydney and Rick (Yvonne) Pitchuck, Howie Centre. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her sisters, Blair and Theresa.
Visitation will take place on Friday, Nov. 27 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. A private family service will take place at a later date.
