KLAUS DAHLKE
March 19, 1940 - October 27, 2015
Klaus was the big guy with white hair and two small dogs (Nico & Bruiser) who could be found daily walking them in Lower Gibsons. His pockets were full of doggie treats and he knew the names of all the dogs in town and even some of their owners.
He was born in Germany, immigrated to Canada in 1958, came to BC in 1970 and with his wife Rosanne moved to Gibsons in 2003 and said it was the perfect place.
Klaus' favorite things were boating, fishing (sometimes even catching!), good friends, good scotch, telling long rambling stories that would go off on a tangent, never to return to the original point - maybe the good scotch contributed to this.
Klaus was predeceased by one son and a great-grandson.
He is survived by his wife Rosanne and a blended family of four daughters, four sons, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
His furry friends Nico and Bruiser followed him by three days. May they still have great walks.
The family would like to thank Dr. Simon Reznick, Sechelt Hospital Emergency and the paramedics for their extraordinary care.
As per Klaus' request there will be no service but a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
Condolences may be placed at remembering.ca
