Miramichi – Pearl May Rickman, RN, wife of Sylvester A. Rickman, of Hector St., Neguac, and formerly of Nelson Miramichi, passed away on arrival at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the age of 86. Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, on January 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Crawford) Lyons.
She was a homemaker; a retired Registered Nurse; a licensed Midwife. She was Christian by faith.
She is survived by her husband, Sylvester; one daughter, Ann Rickman (Mike), of Miramichi; one son, Ian Rickman (Tamara), of Cherry Grove, AB; two grandchildren, Gregory and Danny; three sisters, Edith Allen, Enid Baptiste (Burchell), all of Jamaica and Freda Clarke (Bertrand), of St. Lucia, West Indies; two brothers, Leopold Lyons (Veronica), of Jamaica and Eric Lyons, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Frederick and George Lyons.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 27th, 2015, at 2 pm. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac, N.B.
