It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joyce Ann Rose of Port au Choix announces her passing on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her residence in Port au Choix with her family around her after a challenging journey with cancer. She was 68 years of age. She leaves to mourn her husband James; children: Cavell (George) Critchley, David Rose, Wendy (Gary) Hare, and Nicholas (Tiffany) Rose; grandchildren: George, Angela, Nikki, Drew, Chloe, Declan and Edward; brothers and sisters: Ralph (Bess) O'Keefe, Donald (Joyce) O'Keefe, Gregory (Patricia) O'Keefe, Phyllis (Samuel) Spence, David (Sharon) O'Keefe and Dinah (Lomen) Rumbolt, and a loving group of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is predeceased by parents Alma and Ralph O'Keefe, brothers: George, Barry and Ronald, niece Anne Marie O'Keefe, and nephews Ronald O'Keefe and Robin Hinks. Visitation took place on Wednesday and Thursday at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix. The funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Port au Choix with Father Raj presiding. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove.
