PETERS, MARY MARGARET
(1945-2015)
INDIAN ISLAND, NB – Mary Margaret Peters, 69, of Indian Island passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Friday, November 27th, 2015 after a sudden illness. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Susan Theresa Augustine (nee Clair, the daughter of the late Andrew Clair of Big Cove and the late Mary Ann Barlow of Indian Island) and the late Joseph Gabriel Haddad (son of Sam Haddad of Moncton, born in North Sydney, NS and Gertrude Petitpas).
Margaret was a recently retired bus driver, a job which she did for many years. She attended Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church in Indian Island.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her foster children, Laureen Peters, Norman Peters, Alog Simon and Aaron Barlow; her sisters Catherine Itwaru (Wally), Rita Labelle, Betty Anne (Marcel), Mary Dale Haddad, Noella Ward-Lachance (Jerry) and Madeline Augustine (Peter); her brothers, Joseph Haddad (Brenda), Thomas Haddad and Anthony Haddad (Mary); as well as her several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her sister, Irene Augustine and her brothers, Peter Haddad, David Haddad and James Peters.
Margaret will be resting at her home, 100 Island Dr., Indian Island, with visitation beginning on Monday, November 30th, 2015 at 2:00pm until the departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 at 2:00pm, Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church, Indian Island. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
