Peacefully at the Kings County Hospital, with family by his side, the passing of Nicolaas Jozef Verleun, age 97, occurred on Monday, December 1, 2015.
Beloved husband of the late Maria Van der Bol. Born in Ter Aar, Netherlands, he was the son of the late Petrus and Gijsbertha (Nederhof) Verleun. He will be sadly missed by his loving children: Mary (Chris) Mermuys, Betty (Yvan) Charron, Peter (Louise) Verleun, Gabriel Verleun, Rose (Tom) Wagner; grandchildren: Patrick (Ashley), Michel (Candace), Christopher Charron; Nicholas (Katia) Verleun, Mark (Amanda) Verleun, Jeannette (David) Verleun-MacDonald, Corinne (Clayton) Verleun; Jessica and Shawn Wagner; great-grandchildren Lauren, Lucas and Joanne.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, December 4 at 11 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church, Montague. Interment to take place in the parish cemetery.
