Michael Frank Brophy, 80, of Wallingford, CT., loving husband of Elizabeth C. (MacNeil) Brophy, passed away, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford.
Michael was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, April 9, 1935, a son of the late Vincent Brophy and Margaret Petrie Brophy and had been a Wallingford resident for over 50 years. He was employed as a tool and die maker for Emson Research until his retirement. Michael was a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford and enjoyed his involvement with the Wallingford Hawks Youth Hockey. He was an avid hockey fan and New York Rangers fan.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his daughter Lisa Brophy; and his son Frank Brophy all of Wallingford; his two grandchildren Danielle and Mathieu Gervais; three sisters; five brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Resurrection. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Michael may be sent to the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, CT. 06492.
