Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, of Evelyn Elizabeth Mallett, beloved wife of the late Frederick Mallett, formerly of Brockton, age 89 years. Born October 13, 1926, daughter of the late Thomas Ellsworth and Mary Anne (Bernard) Ellsworth. Loving mother to: Leo and Betty of Alberton; Ann Mallett of Whitby, Ont.; Marilyn (Terry) Costain of St. Lawrence; Theresa (Roy) Gilbert of Whitby, Ont.; Richard (Sam) of Whitby, Ont.; Brian (Jamie) of Innisfil, Ont.; Norman of Alberton; Phalan (Corrinne) of Innisfil, Ont.; Allison (Dave) Hughes of Macungie, Penn.; and Trevor (Andrea) of Brampton, Ont. She is survived by 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by children, Keith, Shawn, Cathy Myshrall, and Linda Bince. She was also predeceased by siblings, Mae Costain, Catherine Carr, Ellen Costain, Leroy, Edwin, Thomas, Richard, Vincent and Leo. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visitation by family request. Funeral Saturday afternoon from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 2 p.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, celebrant. Interment in the Church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Sacred Heart Fund, the Maplewood Manor or to the WJ Phillips Residence would be gratefully accepted. Reception to follow in the church basement.
