It is with great sadness that we regret to announce the passing of Jim Flynn on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late John 'Huck' and Greta Marie (Moore) Flynn.
He was employed as a cleaner for the federal government building for many years.
Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Jim is survived by his brother Jack Flynn, Ontario, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his partner, Patricia 'Patsy' Mercer, and a brother, Carl David Flynn.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, from 12-2 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Burial to take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
