Charles Gene Hiscock
Date de naissance : 2 septembre 1938
Date de décès : 7 décembre 2015
RCAF, Ret.
Passed away peacefully, the most cherished of fathers, in his 77th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Deborah Salter-Hiscock (2007); his adored brother Locksley Hiscock (2006); special sister-in-law Helen Salter-Rowe (2014); and parents Blanche (Hefford) and Locksley Hiscock. Leaving to mourn are his devoted children Charlesly (Lee Horgan) and Haddon; siblings Wenda (Grahame Clarke) and Barry (Marlene); brothers-in-law Eric Salter (Judith Guy) and Robert Rowe; sisters-in-law Karen Salter-Hann (David) and Gayle Hiscock and daughter Lesleigh; the Horgan and Murphy families, and a wide circle of family and friends. Also leaving to mourn, his faithful golden retriever, Maxy. Dad lead a proud and distinguished life, both as an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force and as a civilian. A graduate of the Political Science and Sociology programs at Ottawa's Carleton University, Dad had a keen interest in politics and was involved in many provincial campaigns throughout the years. He was also an avid trout and salmon fisherman, and greatly enjoyed casting a line with his brother Locks at their treasured Rocky Pond in Witless Bay. Dad will always be remembered for his soft-spoken character and kind mannerisms - a true gentleman if there ever was one. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Cambridge Estates, Dr. H. Bliss-Murphy Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Unit for providing our dad with such wonderful care. It will never be forgotten and appreciated always. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, Hamilton Ave on Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 from 5-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, December 10th, 2015 at 2:30 pm at the Barrett's Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment to follow at the General Protestant Cemetery.
