The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, December 7, 2015, of Charles “Charlie” Joseph Doucette of Richmond, P.E.I., and formerly of Toronto, ON., aged 81 years. Charlie was born in Summerside to his late parents Willard and Leona (nee Wedge) Doucette. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Perry) Doucette and also his second wife, the late Selina (nee Poulain) Doucette. Loving father of Carol (Philip) Brown of Richmond, Paul (Marcia) Doucette of Oakville, ON., Julie (Dale) Copeland of Wellington, and Lisa Doucette (Gary Copan) of Toronto, ON. Also lovingly remembered by his 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Bethany, Caitlin, Stephen, Micah, James Brown, Krystin, Christopher Doucette, Brooke, Megan Copeland and Jacob Doucette. Survived by his sister Joan Gallant of Orangeville, ON., and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wives, Charlie was predeceased by his brother Homer Doucette. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Thursday, Dec. 10, then to the Immaculate Conception Church, Wellington, for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
