Sonya Christine MacIsaac, 41, of Halifax passed away Dec. 3, 2015.
Sonya was born Dec. 31,1973 in Antigonish, and is survived by her mother, Valerie MacIsaac, New Glasgow; father, Carmen MacIsaac, Onoway Alta., and her two younger brothers, Darrell and Corey, New Glasgow. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Cecilia MacIsaac Antigonish; her niece and nephew, Isabella and Kaius, New Glasgow.
Sonya made friends easily and those relationships were sincere. She had a huge big heart, a caring and compassionate nature. Sonya's tears with those who cried helped carry burdens too heavy for some. Such was her empathy.
Sonya's sunny disposition was brightened by the fact she was a sun worshiper, literally. Oh how she loved sunny days!
Her delight was to share laughter and joy with others, helping to make that special moment a memory shared.
Sonya always wanted to be a mother. She loved children. She related to them. She practiced early in life by showing brotherly love as only an older sister could to two younger brothers. She would have made a wonderful mother!
Sonya's favourite Bible passage was Paslm 139.
There will be an informal gathering of family and friends to remember Sonya's life and to share. It will be at her aunt's place, John and Mary Chan's on the Mira River, Cape Breton next summer.
