The death occurred at Stewart Memorial Home, Tyne Valley, on Sunday, December 6, 2015 of Orell Eleanor Montgomery, formerly of Port Hill, aged 95 years, wife of the late Stuart Montgomery.
Born in Mount Pleasant on November 13, 1920, daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Ramsay) Millar. Cherished mother to Florence MacLean, Bridgetown, N.S.; Dr. Roy (Dianne), Port Hill; Christine (Al) Ronalds, Surrey, B.C.; Kenneth (Betty), Port Hill; Patricia Millar, Bideford; Anne (Perry) Neatby, South Granville; Lola, Coquitlam, B.C.; Alex, Surrey, B.C.; and daughter-in-law, Martha Montgomery, Bridgetown, N.S. Loving grandmother to 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister to George (late Wilna) Millar, Tyne Valley; Priscilla (late Allison) Ramsay, Summerside; Laura (late Chester) Phillips, Arlington; Rowena (Alton) Ramsay, Kensington; Ruth (Heath) MacLennan, Port Hill; brother-in-law, Ernie Wooding, Calgary, AB; and sister-in-law, Joan Millar (Shelton Ramsay), Powassan, ON.
Orell was predeceased by her husband, Stuart (1993); son, Stuart Jr. (2015); son-in-law, Jack MacLean (2015); grandson, Brian MacLean (2013); great-granddaughter, Myriam Montgomery (2001); brothers and sisters, Helen (Lester) MacKay, Erland (Flora), Ferne (Nelson) Sheen, Sidney (Gretha), Velma Wooding, Donald, John, Edgar; father and mother-in-law, W.J. and Catherine Montgomery; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth (Lola) Montgomery, Jean (Hudson) Jeffrey, Jessie (Wilbert) Drummond and Christina Montgomery.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Lot 14 Presbyterian Cemetery.
