It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of David Samuel Coles on Dec. 8, 2015, at the age of 60. Dave passed at home surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves to mourn his son, D.J. (Amanda); daughters, Kaylalyn, Jackie (Serge) and Jenny. He is also survived by brothers, George, Neil (Wanda); sisters, Cindy (Keith) and Frances. Grandchildren, Cierra, Nathan, Jasmine, Dana, Nikki, Jayme, Noah, Kayden and Summer. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Dave is predeceased by his parents, George and Loretta Coles; his wife, Norma Christie and infant son, Shawn.

Visitation for Dave will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Celebration of life will take place the following day, Saturday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel With Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the CBRH.
