On November 28, 2015 Kelvin Applin of Reef's Harbour passed away quietly and was taken to heaven with a dignified passing. Kelvin will always be remembered by his son Harrison (Judy) and daughters Belinda (Rick) and Katrina (Greg); grandchildren Jenee, Callie, and Danica (Tyson); great-grandchild Kaya; brothers Prim (Cassie), Clyde (Mary), and Harrison (Josie); sisters Madge, Pearl (Ches), Judy (Hank), Brenda (Ken), Maisie (Kev) and Dorcas (Rex). We loved him for his kindness, his open heart, and his open home. We loved him for his clever sense of humour and resourceful nature. We loved that he always looked forward, and embraced his family and how he loved to be with his family and friends. His spirit is the connective thread through many of our family functions and remains a great example for confidence and care for what matters the most, that being family. We will remember his strength and love with every visit to his home and family dinners. Our family is blessed to have been given such a dad and now we are at peace knowing he will meet his wife and our mom, Kitty, in heaven, where his heart has always longed to be. Bless you and always smile upon us Dad. The funeral mass was held Wednesday, Dec. 2 at St. Margaret’s Church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home.
