At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, of Herbert Thomas Avery, of Northport, age 81 years. Beloved husband to Shirley (nee Regan) Avery. Born at Northport on December 31, 1933, he was the son of the late Herbert T. and Rosella S. (nee Arsenault) Avery. Dear father to Debbie Avery and Darlene Avery, of Toronto. Loving grandfather to Dawn, Kyle and Kelly. Great-grandfather to Kherissa, D J and Brandon. Dear brother to Phyllis (Donald) Matthews of Northport, and Wilma (John) Campbell of Summerside. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Arnold (late Eneth), Devere, Isabel, Mae (late Gabe) Jardin, and Greta (late Hubert) Fraser. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
