(1948-2015)
ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Joe Milliea, 67 passed away following a battle with cancer at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Friday, December 11, 2015. He was the son of the late Noel and Monique Milliea of Elsipogtog.
Joe will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Norma Milliea; three daughters, Wendy Sock (Kenny), Denise Augustine (Park), Sue Anne Sock (Craig) and one son, David Noel (Jennifer). His nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters will never forget their loving mitata. Joe is also survived by five sisters, Theresa Peters (Greg), Doris Tomah, Shirley Levi (Frances), Linda Francis (Richard), Martha Milliea (Gerald), one brother, Levi Harry Milliea (late Rose Marie) and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at his home at 58 Riverside Drive, Elsipogtog, NB with visitation beginning on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:00 am, Ste. Anne's Roman Catholic Church with interment being in the Elsipogtog Cemetery, Elsipogtog, NB.
Joe held a number of positions throughout his life; as a Police Constable, a volunteer fire fighter, a carpenter, a bus driver and a medical carrier Joe played hockey as a goal tender, baseball player - an infielder, a golfer and a fisherman. Joe also loved to play pool as well as card games. Joe continued to love sports and was a big New England Patriots fan. His favorite player was Tom Brady.
Joe's family would like to express a sincere and heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at the GDH who compassionately cared and comforted him during his last days.
