Elsie Klepsch
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elsie Katherine Klepsch on December 13, 2015. Elsie Gross was born September 15, 1919 at Bayard, SK. She married Lawrence Klepsch, also of Bayard, and they moved to Moose Jaw to raise their family. Elsie worked at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for many years, retiring at age 65. Elsie was very active in her community and church. She volunteered at Providence Place and was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the CWL, and the choir, often singing solos, as she had the voice of an angel. She loved to read, bake, cook, and garden. Her large freezer was always full and you never left without a box of goodies. Her children always came first, and she often went without, making sure they had all they needed. She was a woman of great integrity, whose values, morals and principals made her children and grandchildren the wonderful people they are today. She was a shining example of strength and what it means to live an honest, caring way of life. Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; son Marvin; sons-in-law Raymond Crane, and Alfred Bourassa; three brothers and three sisters; she is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Corinne Klepsch-Crane – Milford, CT; Patricia Klepsch-Bourassa – Regina; five grandchildren: Mark (Colleen) Crane, Nicholas Crane, and Larissa Crane; Sean (Lorna) Bourassa, and Tanya (Travis) Palaniuk; five great-grandchildren: Connor, Eliza, and Colby Crane; Brody and Jace Palaniuk; and sister Victoria Klepsch. A Visitation for family and friends will take place at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Friday December 18 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, on Saturday December 19, 2015 at 10:00 am. Father Rick Krofchek will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorial donations to Providence Place Foundation would be appreciated. In living memory of Elsie, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
