Leonard Silzer
Leonard Silzer passed away December 16, 2015 at 77 years of age. He was born March 27, 1938, the eldest child of Arnold and Sabina (Fries) Silzer. Leonard grew up near Markinch, SK on the family farm. He married Marjorie in 1971 and spent time in Regina and Calgary working at several jobs before settling into the insurance industry. Leonard and Marjorie settled in Moose Jaw after his retirement. Leonard is predeceased by his parents; wife Marjorie in 2010; step daughter Barbara Milford. He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Jim) Wiens, step daughter Charlene Jalbert, grandchildren Travis, Kaitlyn, Damien, Sara, Justin and three great-grandchildren; Brother Nelvin (Donna), Sister Eileen (Helmut) Manz; special cousin Doreen Luhr and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with Leonard’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the amazing nursing staff of Providence Place for taking such great care of Leonard.
