ROSSFIELD – Ashley Rose Roode, 13, Rossfield, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the IWK Health Centre, Halifax, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Sarah Alexandra Jean Bird and Raymond Gerald Roode.
Ashley was a grade 8 student at East Pictou Middle School.
She enjoyed playing the fiddle, baking, crafting, music and spending time with her animals.
Ashley was a bright, beautiful, young lady who will be missed by all who loved her.
Surviving are her mother, Sarah (Charlie), Rossfield; father, Raymond, Truro; brother, Reginald “Reggie”, Rossfield; maternal grandparents, Jean (Gerald) and Allan (Agnes); paternal grandparents, Doreen (Doug); many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Saturday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
