1924-2015
Miramichi – Anne Mary (Nan) MacKnight, widow of the late Elmer J. MacKnight, of the North Napan Road, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday afternoon, December 17, 2015, at the age of 91.
Born in Chatham, on July 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Hilda (Kenny) Donaldson. She was a homemaker and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan.
She is survived by one son, Eldon MacKnight (Georgette), of Dalhousie; three grandchildren Lloyd, Angie and Denise; two great-grandchildren, Cassandra and Dillon.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer, in 2013; two sisters, Irene Springer and Annabelle Godfrey; one brother, Daniel Donaldson.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Sunday, December 20, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, December 21, 2015, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring.
