Mildred Jane Parsons (nee Reid) passed peacefully away at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the age of 87. Leaving to mourn her daughter Brenda Jones (Michael) of Downham Market, UK; son Scott Reid (Shaunna) of St. John's; granddaughter Katherine of St. John's; sisters: Addie Fiander, Marion Fiander (Ralph) of Codroy; brothers: Cecil Reid (Joanne) of Smithers BC, Hubert Reid (Donna) of Mississauga, ON; sister-in- law Peggy Reid of Codroy, cousins Freeman and Dorcas of Codroy; niece Patricia MacAuley of Corner Brook; great-nieces Terri and Ryley of Highlands as well as many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Ellis; parents Clement and Annie Reid (nee Janes); sisters: Audrey, Winnie,Thelma; brothers Henry, Tom; brothers-in-law: Churchill, Rhoady, Vincent, Paul; sisters-in-law Gwen and Ruth. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 20th at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church in Jeffrey's from 1 - 3 & 7 - 9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Kris Gosse officiating. Interment will be in the Anglican Cemetery, St. David's following the service. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Magdalene Church Memorial Fund.
