Peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at the age of 84, Lawrence Daniel MacKinnon joined his cherished wife Sheila (nee Chaisson) in a better place.
Lawrence's cheerful disposition, kind heart and positive outlook on life will be greatly missed by his three sons, Jim (Jennifer) of Calgary, Brian of Ottawa and Rob (Vicki) of Ashton; his grandchildren, Amy, Dan and Hayley, his many cousins and his many Chaisson in-laws. Born Jan. 28, 1931 and raised in New Waterford, N.S., predeceased by his parents, James Angus and Louise MacKinnon, his stepmother, Cecelia Gillis and sister, Irene MacLeod. Retired in 1985 from a rewarding career with National Defence in Ottawa.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Rd., on Thursday Jan. 7th from 10 a.m until the time of the memorial service in the Chapel at 11 a.m.
