RAMSEY, DOUGLAS
With sadness and a sense of peace, we announce the quiet passing of our dad, Douglas Haig Ramsey on December 21, 2015 at his home at the age of 97. He was born in Saint John, NB on January 31, 1918 to the late Thomas and Katheryn (Foley) Ramsey and was the loving husband of 52 years to his late wife Mary (Richard) Ramsey.
He is fondly remembered by his sons; Thomas and Robert (Carol) Ramsey, daughters; Lorraine (Larrie) Bird and Theresa (James) Landry, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), with visitation held on Tuesday, December 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with a Legion Tribute Service will be held at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 22, 2015 at 10am at Stella Maris Catholic Church (201 Bayside Drive) with burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Doug may be placed to the Loch Lomond Villa Seniors Outreach Program, Romero House, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
