Passed peacefully away on December 24, 2015, in the presence of her loving family at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, Matilda Wall, age 88 years. Predeceased by her husband Peter (October 2004); her parents Noah and Charity Sooley; daughter Melvina Wall; son Gary; grandsons: Angel and Dennis; great-grandsons: Walter and Riley; daughter-in-law Margie Wall; son-in-law Gerald Cramm; as well as her many sisters and brothers. Leaving to mourn, her children: Genevieve Taylor (Len) (Brunswick, GA), Allison Wall, Michael (Sharon), Dennis, Clara (Lee), Robert (Karen), Elizabeth (Bob), John, Madonna (Larry), Brian (Yvonne), Ralph (Marjorie), and Petrina (Rakesh); sister Doreen Clarke; brother Dave Sooley; 33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Monday, December 28 and Tuesday, December 29, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa's Parish, Mundy Pond Road, on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 9:30 am, with interment to follow at the Field of Honour, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
