It is with heavy hearts and great sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Raoul on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015.
Margaret was born Dec. 31 and raised in Whitney Pier, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Sarah (MacNeil) McNeil.
Margaret had various administrative positions including ones at MT&T, Department of Motor Vehicles and at the Medical Arts Building. She was a wonderful mother who worked full-time, and was passionate in everything she did. She loved to ice skate, roller skate, travel, square dance and she was an artist and a teacher of ceramics.
Margaret is survived by her son, Sheldon (Frances); daughters, Rhonda (Robert) and Kara (Rodney); grandchildren, Sasha, Robbie, Russell and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Avery; sister, Sarah 'Sally' (Albert) Brophy.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Roger, sister, Kathleen and brother, Roy.
Special thanks go to 4-C and the palliative care unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their exceptional treatment of our mother.
Funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held 11 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2015 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, followed by a reception, Rev. Dennis Lamey will officiate. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
