It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Gardner announce her peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd (August 23, 2008). She leaves to mourn two brothers, Ben, St. John's and Ken, Kelligrews; sons, Ches (Heather), Lloyd (Sadie), Alonzo (Margie), and Roy (Alice); daughters Ruby (Roy) and Princelean (Ken); 18 loving grandchildren: Selina (Don), Tamara (Garnett), Stacy (Kevin), Tonya, Shane, Angie (Steve), Cathy (Tim), Barbie (Johnathan), Ashley, Scott, Todd (Kim), David (Tracey), Amy (Clifford), Harry, Carla (Kristen), Mark (Naomi), Kathy, and Lloyd (Jody); 26 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 29 at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. from St. Michael's Anglican Church, Park Drive with Reverend Canon Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery, where she will lie with her husband and best friend. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of 3D and Palliative Care Unit of WMR Hospital. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
