It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joseph Henry Kenneth Allain, loving husband of Tamera (Brewster) Allain, which occurred on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1952 in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Earl and Louise (Mainville) Allain.
Ken was a carpenter by trade and was employed with Marque Construction for 30 years. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiner’s of America, Local 1386. Ken was a devoted family man and cherished every moment shared with them at the camp in Terrio Lake.
In addition to his wife Tamera, he is survived by his son Bradley Allain (Tabitha Kneeland); daughters Tanya Allain (Jason Fraser), Colleen (Tushar) Pishe and Alisha (Robert) Carver; grandchildren Cole, Jake, Dax, Abby, Olivia, Marleigh, Neel and Leena; brother Howard (Brenda) Allain; sisters Aurella (Victor) Delaney, Julia (John) Golden and Margot Allain (Sue Northrup); several cousins, nieces and nephews and best grand pup Oakley.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Hilda and Irene, brother John “Jack” and a niece Annette Bamberg.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
