Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 2, 2016, Joan Crocker of Harbour Grace, age 62 years. Predeceased by parents: Maxwell and Gertrude Shute; infant sister: June; infant brother: Josiah; sister: Susie Pike; brother: Maxwell Jr.; parents-in-law: Wesley and Rowena; brothers-in-law: Art Pike and Don Drover; special nieces: Becky and Andrea Sparkes. Leaving to mourn, husband: Alex; two sons: Jerry, Hr. Grace and Cory (Sarah), Amherst, NS; two granddaughters: Ava and Isla; two sisters: Frances Drover (Gord), Bryant's Cove and Jean (Patrick) Haire, Harbour Grace; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Reg) McDonald, British Columbia, Violet (William, deceased) Mercer and Donna Taylor, both of Harbour Grace; also a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. At Joan's request, cremation has taken place. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Peter's Anglican Church, Hr. Grace South. Inurnment at a later date.
