Lewis, Ruby M. – Age 93, of Lower Five Islands passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Five Islands, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Caroline (Davis) Davis. Ruby moved to Massachusetts with her husband, Walter in 1949 returning after 26 years to Lower Five Islands in 1975. She is survived by a daughter, Carole Lewis (Laurie Roberts), Lower Five Islands; a granddaughter, Jeannine Gallant (Shawn), Amherst; two great-grandsons, Chace and Caidan; half-sister, Greta Lewis, Lower Five Islands; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter O. Lewis in 2000; sisters, Lillian, Wenona, Patricia; brother, Morton. Visitation 6-8pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro.
