MIDGE NANSON (nee Bulpit)

MIDGE NANSON (nee Bulpit)

April 4, 1954 ~ December 12, 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Midge Nanson (age 61) on December 12, 2015.
Midge was born in North Vancouver on April 4, 1954 to Harry and Ruth Bulpit. She grew up in West Vancouver, attending West Bay Elementary and then Hillside Secondary. It was there she met and began dating John Nanson at the age of 14.
Midge and John married on August 9, 1974 and soon moved to the Sunshine Coast to raise their family. Sargeant Bay became their home for the next 37 years and in 2014 they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. A devoted mother and homemaker, Midge was a talented seamstress and avid gardener. Over the years she transformed their one-acre property into a garden oasis that was enjoyed by many friends and family.
Midge divided her time between the family she adored, and the community she respected. In recent years she dedicated herself to many volunteer organizations, most notably the Rotary Club of Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Ladies Red Serge Gala - Cops for Cancer. Her enthusiasm and commitment to helping others was an inspiration, and her presence will be missed by all who knew her.
Midge was preceded in death by her brother Shane and father Harry. She is survived by her husband John, daughter Ashley (Ryan), son Adam (Eva), grandchildren (Natalie, Patrick, Amelia and Liam), mother Ruth, as well as siblings Clive, Tammy, Harry Jr. and Jade.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, January 23 at the Seaside Centre in Sechelt starting at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either of the above-mentioned charity organizations in Midge’s name.
