SCULLY, JANE MARGARET
1949 – 2016
Jane Scully, of Riverview, NB, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on Friday, January 8, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of Doris and the late Harris Hoar.
Jane retained lifelong friendships through her employment with the Bank of Montreal and also from her time spent in Greenfield Park, QC. She loved animals, connecting on Facebook, and spending time with her close circle of friends and her family. In recent years, she especially adored precious moments with her beloved grandchildren. This past summer, Jane greatly enjoyed the trip of a lifetime when she travelled to Ireland with her family.
Jane was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone she met. If anyone was feeling troubled or felt the need to talk, they knew that she was only a phone call away, no matter the time of day. Jane was a wonderful friend to all who had the good fortune of knowing her.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, John; daughters Jan, of San Diego, CA, Joanna, of Halifax, NS; son, Sean (Claudine) of Hong Kong; grandchildren, Padraig, Meabh and Mallaidh; sister, Anna Sutherland (late Paul) of Riverview; brothers, Mark Oar (Marla) of Riverview and Dr. Paul Oar (Bonnie) of West Virginia.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A funeral service will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00am with Dr. Rev. Andy O’Neill officiating.
