Miramichi - Shirley Jean Crosbie, RN, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home and formerly of Loggieville, passed away at her residence on Tuesday morning, January 12, 2016, at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, on October 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary E. (Williamson) Crosbie.
She was a retired R.N. by profession and a member of the point Church, Miramichi (formerly of Wellington St., Baptist Church).
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Joan MacTavish, of Moncton; as well as good friends Margaret Williston and Bernadine MacLean.
She was predeceased by her parents and one brother-in-law, Bill MacTavish.
By her request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. The public are invited to attend a memorial service to be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Kevin Matthews. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Maritime Missionary Partnership or the Point Church (Wellington St., location) would be appreciated by the family.
