Passed peacefully away at St. John's Long Term Care on January 9, 2016, David Makinson, aged 68 years. Predeceased by his parents George and Audrey Makinson of Makinsons; sister, Anita Lillian Atwill. Leaving to mourn two nephews Stephen and Andrew, and brother in law Dick Atwill; as well as many other relatives and special friends. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, staff and residence of the St. John's Long Term Care for the wonderful treatment they offered him while a resident there. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A visitation will also take place on Monday January 18 at the St. John's Long Term Care, Newfoundland Drive, from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the St. John's Long Term Care Chapel on Monday, January 18 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday January 19, 2016 at the United Church Cemetery, Brigus.
