Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on January 13, 2016 in the presence of her loving family, Catherine Walsh (nee Farrell) aged 98. Predeceased by her husband Raymond, infant grandson Christopher, her parents James and Bridget Farrell, her brothers Philip, James, Lawrence, Edward and Michael; her sisters Mary, Bridget, Alice and Genevieve Farrell, Ellen Collins, Margaret Grouchy, Gertrude Tobin, Anne Miller and Rita Hairston. Left with cherished memories of a wonderful mother are her children Jeanette, Brian (Elizabeth), Maureen (Mark Coffey) St. John's, Fabian, Paul (Fiorella) Richmond Hill, Ontario. Also her much loved grandchildren, Heather (Matt Wells), Toronto, Matthew Walsh (Dana Sudom) Ottawa, Raymond Walsh, Toronto, Martha, Joseph (Priscilla), Anna, David and Paul Coffey, St. John's; Timothy (Andrea), Maple, Ontario, Mark, Ryan, Adam and Christian Walsh, Richmond Hill, Ontario. Her great-grandchildren, who always put a smile on her face, Sofia and Hayden Wells, Cohen, Isaac and Zoe Walsh, Gabriel, John and Elsa Coffey. Her sister Teresa Coady, sisters-in-law Emma Farrell, Gertrude (John Whittaker) and brother-in-law Michael Walsh (Doreen) along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Visitation on Thursday, Jan. 14, 7-9 pm, Friday, Jan 15, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held at St. Pius X Church on Sat. Jan 16 at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Mercy Home Foundation for the Unit 3 East/West restoration project.
