Passed peacefully away at the Palliative care unit after a short battle with cancer on January 15, 2016, age 67. Predeceased by his father Charles (Dec 1997); mother Maria (Jan 1998); wife Eileen (May 2000); brother Frank (1979) and son-in-law Austin Long (Dec 2015). Leaving to mourn his partner and best friend of 14 years Sandra Garland; children Tammy Grenning, Tina Dunphy (Steve), Chuck Grenning (Paulette), Tracey Grenning (Keith), and Frank Grenning (Krista); grandchildren Sarah, Matthew, Eric, Adam, Jade, Gabrielle, CJ, Ryder and Eileen; great granddaughters Emma and Sophie; brothers Randy Grenning (Jean), Steve Grenning (Sandy); sisters Loretta Simms (Walter deceased) and Maria Barlett (Eugene); special friends Mae Garland and family as well as Paul Collins; all his friends at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1 and his dart buddies. And a wide circle of nephews, nieces, cousins and especially the Kean family. Visitation to take place at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, January 16, from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Sunday, January 17 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Patrick's Parish on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Charles' memory to a charity of one's choice.
