You suffered much in silence but your spirit would not bend,
You faced your pain with courage until the very end.
You tried so hard to stay with us, and your fight was not in vain,
God took you to his loving home and freed you from the pain.
A heart of gold stopped beating, two twinkling eyes closed to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
