1935 - 2016
Elda Cormier, 80, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Health Alliance Hospital, Leominster while vacationing, on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was married to the late Noel Cormier (2014). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and the late Léonie (Mills) Cormier.
Elda was a homemaker, and her great passion in life was the love she had for her family and her love of gardening, among many, and was also a very devoted Catholic.
She will be sadly missed by her son Jean-Paul (Rose-Marie) of Fitchburg, MA, her five sisters; Annette Léger (Réginald), Maria Dupuis (Tommy) of Cocagne, Diana Cormier of Bouctouche, Jeannette LeBlanc (Camille) of Newton, MA, Andréa Hébert (René) of Waltham, MA, three brothers; Rhéal of Cocagne, Donald (Viola) of Bouctouche and Normand (Marie) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister Stella and one brother Fidèle.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Church on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Elda’s memory donations may be made to the CHU DUMONT Foundation or to the Arthritis Society.
