It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend Marian. Marian's courageous battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer ended peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends in Wabush, NL on January 17, 2016 at 67 years of age. She will be loved and forever missed by her husband Jim, children Lenora (Glenn), James (Leighanne), Laura Lee (Robin), and Michael (Alyssa). Also, by her siblings Fred, Mary, Anne (John), Madonna (Russell) and sister-in-law Lucy (Dave). Predeceased by sister Kathleen Taylor, parents Leo and Nora Penney. Marian will also be dearly missed and remembered as a grandmother to Julia, Sarah, Hannah, Londyn, Chloe, Brooklyn, Sydney, Irelyn and step-granddaughter Haley, as well as a cousin and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to thank everyone who has offered support and sent well wishes to us during this very difficult time. A special thanks to the CWL of Wabush and Labrador City for their loving support. Further thanks are sent to Dr. Tom Costello and her oncology nurse Linda MacMillan for the continuous care provided to Marian during her battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being forwarded to Our Lady of Assumption Parish (P.O. Box 250, Wabush, NL A0R 1B0) in memory of Marian. Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Assumption Parish on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 7:30-9:30 pm and Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Roman Catholic Church in Wabush at 11 am.
