Randall McCue
MCCUE, RANDALL JAMES
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Randall “Randy” James McCue which occurred in Fort McMurray Alberta on Monday, January 18th, 2016. Born 1952, in Saint John, he was the son of Cecil James and Shirley June (Hatfield) McCue.
Randy worked as an Electrician for many years on the east coast before moving west to Fort McMurray. He was an outdoorsman who liked to hunt but loved to fish. Randy loved sports, especially baseball. When his playing days were over, he tried to impart that love to the kids he coached. He was a strong union man, a mentor and a role model with a big heart. Randy loved his toys, (his motor home, bass boat, truck, and his Harley), but not as much as he loved sharing them. Randy lived life to the fullest. Although his journey on this earth has come to an end, Randy is now embarking on a new road trip with Mike and Tim. They’ve been waiting for him.
Randy is survived by his sister Susan Clayton-McCue (Jim) of St. Martins; brothers Jeffrey McCue (Mary) of Rothesay, Rexford John McCue (Jack) of Toronto; daughter Michelle Kelly of Edmonton; grandson Brandon; niece and nephews Hannah, Carter and Matthew as well as countless friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, January 29th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, January 30th from 12 to 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, January 30th at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Randy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
