It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rodney (Bruce) Rideout announce his passing on Friday, January 22, 2015 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 74 years. He leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories his mother Elva Rideout; brothers: Austin Rideout, Mervin Rideout (Lorraine), and Caywood Rideout (Dora); sister Linda Brake (Wayne), as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Bruce Rideout Sr. (1985); sister Evelyn Cake (2014); sister-in-law Ivy Rideout (2010) and brother-in-law Fred Cake (1995). Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2 pm from the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street, with Major Raymond Janes officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
