It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Beverly A. (MacKay) Brown, 67, of Framingham, Mass. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Baddeck Forks, N.S. on June 15, 1948, daughter of the late John K. & Margaret C. (MacIver) MacKay, she was the beloved wife of Peter Justin Brown for 45 years.
Beverly had been a resident of Framingham since 1983, previously residing in Brookline, Mass. She had been employed with Sears in Natick, and was also a longtime childcare provider. For many years Beverly was a volunteer at the Potter Road School in Framingham, as well as a Sunday school teacher at the First United Methodist Church. In her spare time Beverly was a world traveler and an avid reader.
Besides her husband, Beverly is survived by her children, Lisa A. & her husband, Jonathan Brown of Douglas, Daniel J. & his wife Lindsay of No. Reading, Gregory J. and Stephanie L. both of Framingham; eight cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Connor, Katelyn, Collin, Desmond, Louis, Logan, and Aliviah; three brothers, Jack MacKay of NH, Iver MacKay of Baddeck and Brian MacKay of Barre. Beverly is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Deborah Brown; six brothers-in-law, two aunts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham, on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
