WRIGHT, VIRGINIA "GINNY"
With sadness, the children of Virginia "Ginny” Joan Wright (Allen), 76 years, announce her unexpected passing on January 19, 2016 at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
Virginia is predeceased by her mother Helen, father George, and brother David.
She is survived by her children: daughter Mandy Wright (Glenn Langille) of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, son Steven Wright (Terri-Lynn Noble) of Beaverdam, New Brunswick, and daughter Jennifer Wright (Eugene Godin) of Fredericton, New Brunswick. "Nana" will be dearly missed by granddaughters Elizabeth, Amber, and Maia. Virginia is also survived by brothers Gregory Allen (Madeleine) of Lively, Ontario and Michael Allen of Ottawa, Ontario.
Virginia was born in Collingwood, Ontario on January 20, 1939. Her family lived in Copper Cliff, Ontario, and she spent most of her adult life in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She was employed for 17 years with the Federal Government Revenue Agency in the department of Customs and Excise, and later the Investigations Branch. Virginia spent her retirement years first in Fredericton and then in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
Family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances will remember Virginia as a sweet, gentle, happy and optimistic person. She was generous, thoughtful, and empathetic. Among her greatest joys in life were classical music, reading, summer evenings, and above all, spending time enjoying her granddaughters. She will be sorely missed.
At the request of the deceased there will be no services or visitation. Interment of the ashes will occur at a later time. Expressions of sympathy or remembrance can be delivered to the family by Sweeney’s Funeral Home in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia (www.sweenysfuneralhome.com).
