Clayton Bonnell
BONNELL, CLAYTON MAURICE
1950 - 2016
Clayton Maurice Bonnell, of Burnt Church, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at the age of 65. Born in Sussex, he was the son of the late Peter Victor and Mary Ann (Dedam) Bonnell.
He worked as a bus driver and as a custodian, and was a member of St Ann's Roman Catholic Church, in Burnt Church.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Susan Bonnell; four sons Paul Morris, Keith Richard (Sandra), Mark Lindsey and Dante, all of Burnt Church; three sisters Rena Bonnell, Valerie Sally Bonnell, and Lorna Grace Bonnell all of Burnt Church; three brothers Norman Perley Dedam, William Patrick (Pat) Bonnell and Peter Victor Bonnell all of Burnt Church; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Vincent Andrew Bonnell, and three sisters Georgina Stella Bonnell, Viola Katherine (Bonnell) Riviera, and Virginia Bonnell.
The family received relatives and friends from Susan Bonnell's house, 11 Quash Court, Burnt Church, on Monday, January 25, 2016, and on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 2 pm, from St Ann's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Brian Wetmore officiating. Organist Marion Joe, accompanied by the church choir, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns "We Shall Go Out", "How Great Thou Art", "Songs of the Angels", and "Here I Am Lord". Readings were done by Lucita Savoie and Vernon Mitchell. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
Pallbearers were Pernell Dean Bonnell, William Darrick Childs, Peter Isaac Dedam, Glenn Conrad Joe, Joseph Hayward Larry, and Joseph Wendell Savoie.
