Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in the presence of his loving family, after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Ellen; brother Cyril; and sister Catherine. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Theresa of 49 years; daughters: Carol Ann (Dave Greene), and Aurila (Curtis Evans); son Jamie (Joann); grandchildren: Courtney, Katie, Julia, Patrick, Amelia and Emma; brothers: Mike (Louise), Don, and Vincent (Margie); sisters: Mary (Jim O'Neill), Eileen (Albert Linehan), Rose (Bruce Power), Sadie (Gerald Hillier), Gertrude, and Bernadette (Ray Barker); sisters-in-law: Dot (Sam Clements), Ann (Lloyd), Catherine, Sarah, Mary (Brian Bishop), and Rita; brothers-in-law: Cyril (Nadine), Barry (Donna) Leo (Ann), Dale (Mary), Edmund and Jim; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Wednesday, February 3rd, from 11 am - 9 pm; and Thursday, February 4th, from 10 am - 12 pm, with funeral service to follow from St. Kevin's Parish, Goulds, at 1 pm.
