It is with deep sadness we, the family of Evelyn Leaman, announce her passing at her residence in Burin on January 31st, 2016 at the age of 78 years. Left to mourn their mom are her children Lisa Moffatt (Raymond Purchase) of CBS; sons: Jim Leaman (Elizabeth) of Greenwood, N.S., Geoff Leaman and John Leaman (Deborah) of Hamilton, Ontario. Also mourning are her grandchildren Matthew (Leona) Leaman, Paul Leaman, Amanda Leaman, Kyle (Heather) Moffatt and Evan Moffatt; as well as great-grandchildren Emma, Willow and Audrey Anne. Evelyn will be well missed by her sister Patricia (John LeMesurier), brothers Paul, Harold and Douglas Cook (Silvia) of Ottawa and her brothers and sisters-in-law of the Leaman family. Predeceasing Evelyn are her parents James and Madeline Cook, husband Cyril, sister-in-law Ann Cook and nephew William Cook. Evelyn's exemplary service to the church and community will leave behind a legacy to be long remembered in the Town of Burin, especially by her card and senior club buddies. A celebration of Evelyn's life took place on February 4th, 2016, from Holy Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Terry Caines officiating.
