LÉGER, ULYSSE
1926-2016
Ulysse Léger, 89, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, on Thursday February 4, 2016. He was married to Félixine (Bourque) Léger. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Alyre and the late Hélène (LeBlanc) Léger.
Ulysse was a farmer and the owner of Léger Meat Market.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Félixine, his children; Louise Léger-Lewis (Mark) of Grande-Digue, Dianne Dupuis (Paul) of Memramcook, Paul (Charline), Pierre (Charline), both of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, his grandchildren; Chantal, Sophie, Rémi, Janelle, Joel and Luc, and one great- grandchild, Alexi. He also leaves to mourn his sisters; Anita Melanson (late Louis), Bernadette LeBlanc (Richard), both of Moncton, Fernande Drisdelle (Laurie) of Wethersfield,Conn,Thérèse Pollock (late Bill) of Cocagne and several nieces and nephews.
Ulysse was predeceased by a sister, Stella and two infant brothers.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel RC Church Slumber Room, in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Monday February 8, 2016 from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 3:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Church on Tuesday February 9, 2016 at 4:00pm.
In Ulysse’s memory a donation can be made to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
