BOUCHARD, GILLES
1948 - 2016
Gilles Bouchard, 67, of Dieppe, NB, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 4th, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Quebec, he was the son of the late Lucien and the late Gisele (née: Cadoret) Bouchard.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Bouchard had been a professor at Université de Moncton. He was a member of ABPPRUM; Association des Ainés francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick as well as a member of Saint-Anselme parish.
He is survived by his wife, Noëlla (née: Bourgeois); three sisters: Nicole Bouchard (François Rouleau), Lise Bouchard (Marcel Bernard) and Marthe Bouchard (Serge Myand), all of the Greater Quebec City area; four godchildren: Annick Rouleau, Daniel LeBlanc, Jean-François Foulem and Byron Hall; five sisters-in-law: Edith Bourgeois of Moncton, Adélice (Rhéal) LeBlanc of Dieppe, Patricia (Wayne) Brown of Ontario, Marie-Paule (Deus) Foulem of Caraquet and Estelle (Fred) Hall of Alberta; one brother-in-law, Guy (Thérèse) Bourgeois of Moncton; one former brother-in-law, Donald LeBlanc of Moncton; and also several nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by many friends and collegues.
Besides his parents; he was predeceased by one nephew, Guillaume Bernard as well as his parents-in-law: Alban and Trévina Bourgeois.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 at 11 am.
Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
