Stoddart, Sandra Elaine
1943 – 2016
On February 5, 2016 at the age of 72, Sandra Elaine Stoddart passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital with her family by her side after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Sandra was born in Yarmouth, NS. She is survived by three daughters: Stephanie Chevarie (Paul) of Upper Coverdale, Cheryl Alexander of Moncton and Anna Lee Paddock of Riverview; brother Anthony Muise of Tusket, NS; seven grandchildren: Kyle, Kori, Jefri Ann, Kelsie, Jordan, Justin and Ryan, and five great-grandchildren: Dylann, Rylee, Devyn, Jace and Brantley. She was predeceased by great-granddaughter Rayden Ann Paddock in 2013.
She retired early from her years with Lakeside/Unicorn Daycare and Pat’s Crafts to care for her terminally ill husband of 46 years, Douglas Brandon Stoddart (1937-2011).
After his passing, she became active as a volunteer with the Second Mile Food Bank (serving in many major roles). She began attending the Wesleyan Church and became active within many of its groups. Previously she was a member of Emmanuel Baptist, Parkside Baptist and Calvary Baptist. One of her favorite groups was the Lakeville TOPS chapter.
Funeral service to be held at The Moncton Wesleyan Church on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 2:00pm. Donations in Sandra’s memory can be made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital Palliative Care Unit. The family wish to thank the staff of 3600 and 4200 of The Moncton Hospital for the care given which was above and beyond.
